Streaming Spotify to Stereo Equipment

Streaming Spotify to Stereo Equipment

Hi there,

At the moment I run Spotify on my Windows laptop while streaming music to my stereo via an Apple Airport Express.

Therefore I use 'AirFoil' sofware from Rogue Amoebe (2 seconds delay, unfortunately).

Now, I think about buying a Google Nexus 7, an android tablet to run Spotify on it and stream the music to my amplifier.

Can anyone tell me what I need for that?

Do I have to use an extra device? Or an particular app?

Does Spotify run comfortable on Android?

Do you maybe have a good advice to play Spotify on your (good old) stereo?

Please tell me, I am curious!

Thanks in advance!

I guess you could do it with Bluetooth if you have a BT receiver that you can connect to your amp. There may be better ways of doing it though

Listening on Windows, Android and Sonos. Tweeting it at @davelicence

I think we need airplay in the spotify android app OR work around third party app

Right now, I don´t see an option to stream spotify running on Android to an AV receiver.

Airplay is an iOS feature. DLNA works via 3rd party apps but there is no support for spotify as far as I can tell.
