Are you having trouble on your Android phone(specifically on HTC one m8) with T-Mobile's network, with the app saying offline, on data? Stay frustrated no longer! The reason this happens is because T-Mobile runs their network on IPv6, an unknown issue Spotify only allows it to run on IPv4. To fix this go to Settings/Mobile Data/Access Point Names/ click on the three dots and select New APN.
Fill in the following:
Name:Spotify IPv4
APN:fast.tmobile.com
Proxy:(leave blank)
Port:(leave blank)
Username:(leave blank)
Password:(leave blank)
Server:(leave blank)
MMSC:http://mms.msg.eng.tmobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy:(leave blank)
MMS Port:(leave blank)
MMS Protocol:WAP 2.0
MCC:310
MNC:260
Authentication Type:(leave blank)
APN Type:default,mms,supl,admin,hipri
APN Protocol:IPv4
APN roaming protocol:IPv4/IPv6
APN enable/disable:(if unblocked) enabled
Bearer: Unspecified
Now click the 3 dots and save. Select the APN you just created, now try out Spotify with WiFi turned off
Hopefully helped you out respond if it doesn't work.
