My Question or Issue

I'm not sure if this is the right section, but I can't search for artists, I've tried deleting, restarting both the app and the phone, and updating the app, but it just didn't work.

New update poor, enter band name you are searching for, now gives you a list of playlists that are not relevant !

I entered Metallica, quite a well known band and couldn't get straight to popular or normal front page for artist, was given option of this is metallica !

Please revert back to last update.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We understand that you delete the app. In this case, we recommend, if you haven't yet, you perform a clean reinstall of the app. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the stored cache is not leading to any issues.

If the above doesn't do the trick, it'd be awesome if you could share the following with us:

• Send us a full description of what is happening on your side. Does the app crash when trying to search for artists? Do you see any errors? Include as much info as possible, so we can have a better idea of what is exactly happening.
• The exact Spotify version you're running.
• Some screenshots of this behavior.

My Question or Issue

Artist profiles now no longer appear when you search for them, only their songs. 

This means to access an artist's page you have to press on one of their songs then press to view the artist.

Artist profile does also now not appear in the 'artists' tab in search.

Happening to me too. Extremely frustrating I hope this is not intended.

Yes! This is happening to me right now. It’s really annoying and it’s any artist I search. Not like unpopular or new ones. Ones with millions of followers and listeners. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Our internal testing shows that this should be resolved now. Make sure your apps are all updated, perform a clean reinstall if necessary and let us know if the issue persists.
