Very bad changes made to search function

My Question or Issue

Until recently I could double tap the search button to bring up the keyboard and start writing.

Now I have to tap the search field. This is a very bad decision in a day and age where phone screens are getting larger/taller. Why would Spotify force a design that makes the app less user friendly? 

Please bring back the option to tap search icon twice to bring up keyboard!
