With the Latest Spotify update for Android I have noticed a decrease in the Volume of the music, what gives?!?!?!
Please fix it!
Remove old app, install this APK to your phone, from computer transfer it to your phone, then just install from package.
It will ask to allow update outside Play Market. Allow it for once.
Don't need to remove old app. Just update for a new one without loosing offline songs :).
Hello,
I and others who have purchased the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Egde, have discovered that the sound when playing Spotify is very low and low quality. It is only with Spotify, tested with youtube and the sound was good, so it's something with Spotify.
Tested to install the app again, but no difference.
Please I love to listen to spotife but right now the feeling is away.

uninstall your existing spotify, donwload and install the version above (taken from brazillian play store? Update doesnt seem to be out in UK or US yet.)
Anyway, trying this now will post results as to whether or not it works later.
My problem, to elaborate - is the volume constantly changing slightly, both up and down, on Samsung S6 Edge.
Dead annoying as I never ask the volume to do a GOD. darn. THING.
Anyway, I'll let you guys know, but previous commenters seem happy with the new update
Please send update to Scandinavia Play Store! How long to fix officially?
I mean even chineze people can made update stuff faster. I wish Spotify could be from China. Chinese people working hard all the day!!! And when they work, work is not Facebook or Twitter by the way. And these scan people are unable to push one simple update to stores... Reall action, Spotify! If I could find better service, good bye!!!
Finally 2.8.0.1081 update is here on Play Store. Thank you!!!
Now I realise, I can't live without Spotify 😉 I want my beats back, so after update, resetted music on my phone and here we go. Louder!

I have 1,955 tracks on my list right now on Spotify. 119 hours of party music!!!
Greetz!

Nope, compared the new version with version 2.6.0.813 on a different phone. The older version is noticably louder.
Well, I'm done. Subscription cancelled. Side by side, the volume/sound quality of Spotify vs Google Play is seriously lacking. No update has fixed this and no response from Support has been even the slightest bit helpful. Every response was completely canned, and completely worthless. I could have written seemingly anything in my original request and would have received the same responses because it sure didn't seem like they read anything I wrote.
At any rate, I'm done paying for an inferior product. I am now enjoying Google Play All Access with a full, robust sound. Goodbye Spotify.

Sadly the only 'usable' fix I found was to just turn Soundalive off in the
EQ options.
Sadly, this makes things much quieter but it seems to have stopped the
volume changes. Either that or there just so quiet I don't notice them any
more.
Either way, this **bleep** needs to be sorted soon or I may jump ship too.
Hi there, SoundAlive EQ is something provided by Samsung on their devices. If this is causing issues you should get in contact with their customer support. If turning it off fixes the issue with Spotify then it's clearly an issue with the EQ provided by Samsung
