the spotify app is set to get automatic updates from play store, same as my other apps. however, spotify is the only one that doesn't work. what can i do? i have cleared the cache, removed all spotify-related folders from my phone, and reinstalled.
as of now, i check apkmirror every other day, as this is the only way i can be sure i have the latest version. thank you for any insight.
Why do you download from apkmirror and not Play?
Play should show the latest version applicable to your device but could you let me know what device you are using, your android version and the current spotify version you are using?
I would guess that 7.4.0.1799 is the latest version they have released for android 4.2. The newer release could cause issues which will be difficult to resolve as you are running a spotify version released for newer android versions.
You'll notice that they do say on Play that the current version varies with device.
