android doesn't show connect icon

i have spotify premium, desktop version 0.9.4.13 and mobile android version 0.7.1.399

both are connected to my home wifi but when i am in the now playing screen on my phone i do not see an icon to connect to the desktop spotify. both are running

using samsung note 3. currently out of the US but using premium

Okey that is really weird :DD. Have you already tryed a clean reinstallation of your android app?

i uninstalled, and now i can't reinstall because i am currently outside the US and spotify doesn't show up in android play!

this is really upsetting, since i live and breathe by spotify every day!

Well that could be maybe the reason why spotify connect isn't working.. because you are in a country where spotify isn't supported.

Anyway i think you can download it with your mobile device visiting www.spotify.com/download :).. i think.. 😄

please answer if this doesn't help so i will continue my research 🙂

so i managed to side load the latest spotify apk and now the connect icon appears and i'm able to remote control the desktop
