manually dowbloading app - lose downloaded music?

Hello,

I had to manually download the Android app from m.spotify.com as I'm currently not in a country which has Spotify in its Google Play store.

I saw there was a recent update and would like to install the new file from m.spotify.com. if I do this though, do I need to uninstall the original app version first? Will I lose all my downloaded/synced music?

Thanks, JB.

Yes, the new app is a completely new app so you will need to redownload your playlists I'm afraid. You should be safe to remove the old app before installing the new one. Just be sure to swap over to Google Play or Amazon App Store versions again once you get home so you get updates.
