Issues with adding songs to a playlist

I have been trying to add songs to a public collaborative playlist. Whenever I try to add a song, the playlist does not show up. Other people on the playlist have been able to add songs, just not me. I tried to look into my settings but nothing seemed to be restricting me from adding songs. Anything I should try?
