Hello everyone! I recently downloaded the newest desktop app for Mac. When I downloaded it, it showed the song I was currently playing on the right side of the screen in a vertical sidebar. I accidentally clicked out of it. Does anyone know how to get it back?
I too have this on Windows 11, or had it, I clicked out of it assuming it would be easy enough to add back on, but there is nothing in the UI to do this. I mean, come on, Spotify - nothing in the keyboard shortcuts either.
Oh, I also totally reinstalled the app and even that did nothing. Many other aspects of the UI reset, but not that.
pls let me know if you figured it out as I already took 30 mins of my time looking for it
Been trying to do the same for hours!
If anyone finds a solution please let me know!!
I went trough the same problem, gladly i found the solution:
If you are using Spotify from Microsoft store, I suggest you install the downloaded version from spotify's website, access the following folder -> %appdata% -> Spotify -> Users -> (select your user folder here) -> open the file named "prefs" with a text editor, and set ui.right_panel_content=2
exit spotify client and restart it.
THIS ACTUALLY WORKED ITS BACK WOOOOOOO TY
Does anyone know has to do this on MAC?
Thanks for this! Worked perfectly.
One thing you can do to help find your file is open your preferences and look for the "Offline Storage Location", if you have not changed it. The root of the "Spotify" directory can be found here.
I've done it, worked for a few days but now it disappeared again... Does anyone know how to repair this permamently?
I just updated to the latest version:
Spotify for Windows
1.2.11.916.geb595a67
It looks like this feature was removed, or at least removed from the control of that preference. I do hope they decide to bring it back for everyone, it's a neat feature.
