Dear People at Spotify,
It seems I have one account with spotify directly and another one with my facebook-ID?
Strange thing is: I logged in with my 'normal' account to renew my premium, but it seems that it has been
booked on an account i can only get onto when i log in with my facebook details.
It's annoying because my playlist are in the 'normal' account while my subscription is in the 'facebook' account.
I hope you can help!

madpawel & mickeyash - You should both easily be able to link your accounts to Facebook.
Just sign in with your Spotify username (not your email address). Then go to your Preferences Page: Edit > Preferences (in Windows) or Spotify > Preferences (in Mac) and click 'Connect to Facebook'.
Thanks Meredith, unfortunately I'm still having the same problem. To be more specific, here is the process as I experience it:
)Sign in w/ Spotify username on Windows client.
)Edit>Preferences
)Connect to Facebook
)Sign in to Facebook
)Error bar at top reads "Sorry mickeyash, it's not possible to connect to this Facebook account. To find out how to resolve this, please click here."
)The "Click Here" link URL is https://www.spotify.com/redirect/duplicate-account-error-subscriber/?oauth_token=NAo8CiQKDVNwb3RpZnk...
In which I notice the path includes "duplicate-account-error-subscriber". However, the resulting redirect leaves me at "http://support.spotify.com/us/problems/#!/article/Error-code-101-126" which is an unrelated error.
So here we are! Thanks again for the help.
Edit: Also noteworthy is the fact that I can "Sign in with Facebook" on the spotify web client and when signed in there I have none of my playlists/etc. This contributes to my belief that I have a duplicate account which needs to be resolved.
Hey mickeyash - Thanks for getting back to us with those details.
Quick question, is the Facebook account a personal profile? Or is it a business page? Spotify accounts can only be linked to personal profiles as it is for personal use only.
Hi there. I have problems with duplicate account after i disconnected from facebook or something.
I have tried many thi g but nothing leads back to my premium account with all my playlists.
Could you please help me with this?
Best regards sivert

Hi there,
I am experiencing the same issue that everyone is facing regarding duplicate accounts with my non-FB account being the original. Can I please have my original account restored?
I recently logged in via FB thinking the accounts would be linked since the email address is the same but now all of my playlists from before are gone. Also, with my original non-FB account I was a Premium member and now I'm just a basic subscriber. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Cliff
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
You just need to log back into the client using your original Spotify username and password (not email address) you created when you registered.
Try following the steps outlined in this post and see if they can get you back into your original account. If not, there is a link in that post to get in touch with the Spotify team directly.

Peter,
Thanks for the speedy reply - that trick worked and allowed me to get to my old Spotify account. The issue now is that this original account is not linked to my FB. Any tips on how I can do that?
When I click on My Account and try to manually connect, it says there is an error. I sent a message to Spotify directly last week and still have not gotten a response.
This is a bit alarming to me as it seems like many users are having this same issue. Having not had full access to my Premium account for the past week or so, I would expect at least a partial refund from Spotify at this point.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Glad you have got back into your account, do you have a case number from when you got in touch before? It will be in the first automated email reply you get when you submit a contact form. Post that here and I will pass it over to the community staff to chase up for you.
Any requests for refunds also need to go through the contact form team.

Thanks Peter!
Okay, I have escalated that for you. A member of the community staff should be able to look into this for you 😉

(HELP!!) Spotify created a duplicate account and linked it to my facebook. It will not let me link back to my original account which was created with facebook. All of my playlists, followers are gone! I am getting pretty upset and frustrated.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
I would suggest you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to track down your original account for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for the advice Peter. I just sent in a form. Hopefully this problem is resolved soon!
For those of you who may be wondering, Spotify considers this as an error made on THE USER'S part despite all of the people on this forum who have had the same problem. I was locked out of my original account with all my playlists / settings / etc. and requested a partial refund of my Premium account fee for the month but was shut down because they said I was the one who created the duplicate account. To me that doesn't make sense because all I did was click on the "link your account to Facebook" button which caused this entire fiasco.
It still baffles me how such a seemingly widespread issue can 1. go unfixed for so long and 2. can be painted as an issue caused by users when it's clearly a problem that Spotify has managing its accounts when a user creates a non-Facebook account originally and then tries to link it.
Dear staff of Spotify,
I've apparently created a duplicate account for my e-mail address with facebook account, which I'd like to get rid of so I can reconnect it with my spotify account. I'd appreciate if you could advise me how to get rid of the duplicate.
Thanks in advance!
Just signed up for Spotify Premium tonight. I guess I previously had a Spotify account under my email account only. When I clicked on the I am ggkid71 link during setup, I got the password wrong. So, my new account that I setup via Facebook which I didn't really want to do, has some random user id (all numbers). I want to keep Spotify Premium, I'd like to use my original email Spotify account ggkid71 and then have the ability to hook it up to my Facebook account if I want to. Can this be worked out to be able to do this? I tried cancelling the one I did under Facebook by mistake but when I tried to link the ggkid71 account to Facebook it said it couldn't be done. Help! Thx in advance.
pyenapple and ggkid71 - I would suggest you both get in touch with the customer services team using the online contact form and they will be able to sort these issues out for you.
