Facebook log in changes .......WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

I've used Spotify Premium happliy for over a year by loggin in through my facebook account.

This morning I tried to log on on a new iPad.  After entering my facebook details it asked for my spotify account details.  It has NEVER done this before.  I tried my usual username and password (I know this isn't very secure) and it linked my account to an old Spotify account I completely forgot I ever had, losing all my playlists on all devices instantly!!!!!  

I went onto my laptop and unlinked them straight away.  But now when I try to log in with my facebook details it offers me 2 options 'I'm new to spotify' and 'I have a spotify account'.  NEITHER OF THESE THINGS ARE TRUE!!  I've always just logged in via facebook.

Please Help!!!!

You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to recover your account for you. Unfortunately when you merged your two accounts, your Facebook playlists and details will have been lost in the system, but the staff can correct it for you 😉 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
