Following users not on Facebook

How can I search for and follow Spotify users that are not on Facebook?  Not everyone has a Facebook account.  It would be a shame if this is not possible.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Yes, you can search and find people by searching for:

spotify:user:USERNAME

with USERNAME replaced with the persons Spotify username. Once you have found their profile, you can follow them just like Facebook friends.

trying this in the search field and i can not find a new user. is there a delay in this user list updating? is it allowed to search from moble or do i need to be on the desktop app? Thanks in advance for your prompt responce. 

*I even tried your user name  {Spotify:user:hammeh} and it comes back with 0 results

It only works in the desktop client. 😉

I am trying to search for someone but can't make anythign to appear.

Do you have to be a premium memeber to search for someone?

I've entered - spotify:user:colettelynch1

but nothing is showing up
