Ugh, I can't believe I messed with this. I thought unlinking my Facebook would refresh some of the Facebook Social information (recently friended someone and didn't see his information on Spotify). Unfortunately I guess I originally created my account with Facebook so when I did this it somehow deleted my information and is recognizing me as a new user.
Is there any way I could recover that information?? I spent a lot of time crafting my lists...and it sucks to lose them. Plus I was thinking of upgrading in the next couple months. Not really something I care to do if it's going to be this easy to lose my information...
Please let me know where I can e-mail you my information so I can hopefully get this straightened out.
Thanks!!
~Tricia

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they should be able to get those restored onto the correct account for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Richard,
I've been a Spotify premium member for the past 2 years and today I hit disconnect from FB to see if I could send songs to ppl w/o posting an FB message to them. I hit "disconnect" it logged me out and then i logged back in and it erased everything i had! all 120 playlists, etc...
It's now also saying I'm a "free" member. Can you help restore this for me? Pleeeeeease!
Proud, paying member since the beginning.
Justin
[Snip-Email-SuperUser] is my username or email registred through FB..
Hey Justin 🙂
It sounds like you just need to log back into your original Spotify account.
You should have a Spotify username which is not your email address which you created when you registered your account. You need to log in using that and your password you set when you registered rather than with Facebook to get back to your account. There are full instructions in this topic. If you have any issues, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Spotify team directly, the details are in that linked topic too.
Just going to pop your email address out of your post, its best to keep those details private 😉

I have the same problem. I wanted to unlink my spotify premium account from showing posts on facebook when one of my friends said it was posting everything I was listening to all day. I went to unlink it from the preferences option and when I did it booted me off. I no longer have access to my playlists and it says I no longer have spotify premium. I'm sure I created another profile some how, but I can't get back to the old one. I don't have different emails or passwords that I would have used for them, but I can't get back to my spotify premium. Help, please?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
You just need to log back into your original Spotify account, using the dedicated Spotify username (not email address) and password you created when you registered. If you where able to disconnect from Facebook you must have those details.
Any issues, or if you can't remember your username, drop an email to customer services using the online contact form and they will be more than happy to help you out.

I run sound at my church and I created a secondary account to use there instead of my personal one all of the time. My personal account was linked to my facebook account. I went on to my secondary account and not thinking, I linked it to my facebook account as well. When I tried signing in to my personal account, it was linked with the church one and I lost all of my music. Is there a way to get it back?

I'm sorry but I attempted to create a new account and link that to my Facebook, then all playlists were gone. I tried logging in from my original account, but I did and they were gone again. Please help! I really could use a moderator to delete the duplicate!!
I've copied over your playlists to the account you should get access to if you use your Facebook details to log in. If you're still having problems though, get in touch here and one of our support team will be able to get things figured out. If you get an automated response, reply back to it directly.
Hi,
I tried to log ont Spotify on my friends computer. Instead it seem to create a new account and wiped all my playlists and library. When then tried to open my spotify app on both my Iphone and Ipad, it asked me to log in again. When I logged in using facebook ( as I did when I set up my account) ithe library was blank.
Also, only my Ipad app will synch with my account. My Iphone app seems to have a difference usernae despite being logged on with same account.
Any help would be appreciated

It sounds like your account has been merged with your friends. If you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they should be able to restore your account for you.

Richard- hey I created an account last year and made a playlist. But I linked that one with Facebook after I downloaded it on my ipad. Today I made a new one. A spotify account (that's this one). But it connected me with Facebook for some reason. I want this one gone the new one. I want my old one still with all my old music please help me.
Can you rather email me the answers: [Snip-Email(Privacy)-Peter]
That's also the email the old account is connected to.
What do I do?
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Just going to hide that email address from the public to stop your inbox filling up with mindless spam 😉
When you first registered for Spotify, did you get a Spotify username which you would have chosen during registration? If so, it sounds like you just need to log back in using that username (rather than your email address) to get back to your account.

Help! I tried unlinking my Facebook profile from my Spotify by means of both the Preferences options and also by deleting the app on my Facebook. After doing so I tried logging into Spotify only to have it open and treat me as if I were a new user. I was unable to log in as an existing user so I selected the "New to Spotify" option. As soon as this was done, all my playlists and user information were gone. There were around thirty very important playlists plus all my starred songs. All of this really meant a lot to me and I need to know if there is a way to recover all of this. My account user was first changed to a number which was 1294397489. Can any moderator please help?
Thank you.
Hi, I'm currently have the same issue. I work with a variety of music artists and was in the process of setting up accounts. I created one thus far, however I had to unlink my FB account (personal) because it became linked to the artist's account. I now know that I must log out of FB and as the artist to make sure not to have any hiccups.
However, the issue I'm having is similar to everyone else here in this thread. I've logged back in via username/facebook and don't see any of my playlists or starred information. Or any of my follower information.
If someone can please assist me with getting my information back I'd greatly appreciate it.
