You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to help you get that reset after verifying a few details.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi Robbrandt! Welcome to the Spotify Community!
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your account. I do have a quick question; did you register with Spotify using a Facebook account or a stand-alone account? If you're using a Facebook account, you would only change the password on your Facebook. Otherwise, if you didn't use Facebook at all during the registration process, you're probably going to have better luck contacting the support team at this form.
If you get an automated response, just respond back and you'll have the attention of one of the awesome Spotify Professionals.

Hi- I just got a new Samsung Galaxy s4 and spotify will not let me log in. I have tried to have the password sent all day long and still not one email has gone to my email address: matthewrrosscole@gmail.com. I am a paid subscriber and this is EXTREMELY frustrating. Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the Community!
As your account was created through Facebook, entering your Facebook credentials when logging in should do the trick.
If you're having trouble remembering your Facebook password, you can reset it by visiting this link. That should do the trick 🙂

need my password reset and followed the link and emailed, got a response, so again emailed back even though it was a no reply address.
dont really understand why it is so complicated to reset the password....need it sorted asap to take up Vodafone contract offer.

Can you not get a password reset directly?:
1. Go to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/
2. If you get redirected to your online profile (where you need to current password to make the change), you are still logged into the website. Click on your name at the top and choose Log Out.
3. Return to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/ and you should be able to request a reset.
