Im paying for premium, but only getting free service with commercials. Why?

I am having the same problem here.  I upgraded from free to Premium to use my Sonos, but it does not work, it acts as if I still have free.  I have tried logging off and restarting, but to no avail.  However, my Spotify offline mobile works as if I have paid, so I am a bit perplexed.  Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I am, i don't have an other account.

I'm having the same problem is many others here.  I upgraded to PREMIUM. Everything in my account says I have PREMIUM... but I still get ads and can't save playlists for offline play.  What gives, Spotify?  And yes I've logged out and logged back in. Even completely rebooted. Nada.

I'm having the same issue.  I just paid for premium about an hour ago (first time subscriber).  Logged out and back in, still getting "this is a premium only feature" messages and ads.  Reinstalled... same problem.  Checking account online says I have premium access.  By the way, I didn't get my 30 days of free premium either it immediately charged my Paypal account.

Well, nevermind, mine works now.  I bought premium and while I was listening to music on my "free, should be premium" spotify, it froze so I restarted it and it reopened as premium.  It took maybe 4 hours to update the change, so if anyone else has this problem, be patient.

Hey. Just read through this entire thread. Seems like a lot of people are having the same issue as me.

I've had Spotify Premium for a long time and loved it, but let it expire. It ended today, and I was listening to music and realized it's the free version, so I went back and upgraded to Premium again and expected to listen to music fine with no ads.

 

But the Spotify Desktop is still saying I have a free account (even though looking at my account, it says I have Premium). It's working fine on my iPhone, but not on the Desktop.

 

I have logged out and back in multiple times, and restarted the program. Still nothing.

 

I see the previous person had their issue resolve itself after four hours, but I don't feel like waiting that long.

 

Is there any way to speed up the fix?

Same problem here, been loggin in and out with my username ''remeer'' but it still got the free version : \

Same problem as everyone else. I used to have spotify premium, then canceled it after the app on my phone refused to work after countless uninstall/installs, and the absence of possible solutions from the spotify team. I decided I'd get Premium again to see if it worked, now that the app is working again on my phone. However, this time I'm paying for Premium but still getting Ads, ca't listen offline and the rest. And it's apparently impossible to get a hold from anyone at Spotify!

I am facing the same problem too. I have tried everything (logging out, restarting etc) and it still doesnt work. The only thing left is to wait 4 hours. Hope it works by then.

My problem seems to have solved itself.  Either way, the Spotify response team seems pretty half-assed.

UPDATE: Mine's fixed, now. I restarted Spotify and it's back to Premium, now. It's been an hour or so.

I'm running into this same issue. I signed up for the premium service this afternoon and the player on my Mac is still playing as free and my iPad and iPhone are both in 30 day trial mode. Help?

Got this cleared up on my Mac by deleting the preference files. Though, I'm still running into problems on my iPhone and iPad. 33 days remaining on your trial. How can I resolve this one? I've force quite the app and restarted the devices and have had no luck.

It is still not solved, payed a week ago but still getting free service, one week of subsciption already down the drain... I loved spotify but my satisfaction is quickly getting less and less. 😞
