I'm having some of the same issue(s). I upgraded last night and the system acknowledges the upgrade but the iPad app and desktop app keep insisting that I'm Free. I've logged out and in a couple of times and even restarted the computer and iPad but to no avail.

I'm having the same problem, i recently upgraded to premium and i still have Ads and such... i've deleted spotify off my computer, reinstalled it, logged out and logged back in multiple times to no avail 😞
Recently in the Netherlands XS4all (an ISP) provided their customers with a "free" spotify premium. However two days after activating spotify doesn't recognize my premium anymore and hence I can't stream on my iPhone anymore where as that was maybe even the best feature.
Would anyone have any idea what went wrong and how it can be fixed? I already changed my facebook password 3 times but that didn't solve anything.
If I'm not giving enough info please feel free to ask for I have no clue...

lonkie73- What's happened here is you've opened another account via your Facebook.
Not to worry, that's gone now. To avoid confusion, I recommend always signing in with your 'lonkie74' username (not your email). You could also link your Facebook to 'lonkie74' via your Preferences page.

Bought Premium but cannot use it. Windows and iOS client says I need to upgrade to premium...

Yeah, this is my issue as well and has been for a while.
It's apparent to me that Spotify either doesn't care, or is ill equipped to handle these types of problems. The contact form doesnt work, and support@spotify.com is useless as well.
I'll give it another day to see if they resolve and extend my subscription the days I'm owed. If it doesn't work, I'll be filing a chargeback with my credit card company, and I would suggest anyone with a similar issue try to resolve it with Spotify and if not just dispute the charge. That'll get their attention.

@retiltxet - You mentioned a problem with the contact form. While it was temporarily down on Friday afternoon, it's up and running now. Are you having any issues with the website today?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm not able to use my service. It still says I'm not premium and it's been that way for a while. Could you look at it and see what's up with it, and extend my subscription the amount of days since I got it? It hasn't worked at all the whole time.

I am having the same issue.
i couldnt pay on the date of subsription because my paycheck was delayed.
of course my bank account was empty and I couldnt pay spotify premium.
later that week, when my paycheck finally arrived, i went to my bank and payed the 10 bucks manually.
i then recieved an email saying my payment was succesfull.
it states: Your Spotify subscription has been reactivated, as your scheduled Sofort payment (dated: 2012-06-04)) was successful.
i recieved this email on the 19th of june.
but my account hasnt been reactivated yet.
