Playlist missing tracks

Playlist missing tracks

One (possible more) of my playlists is acting weird lately.  It keeps losing tracks intermittently, I noticed it yesterday when it was down to 5 tracks, and today it's down to just one track. It previously had over a hundred tracks.

I checked some of the tracks I remember were on the playlist and they still exist on spotify and are playable, so it's not that.

It is not a collaborative playlist so noone else has edited it, and I haven't touched the playlist.

What's going on and can I get my playlists back the way they were please?

Mine is acting weird to!
It´s not updating or syncing. Can´t see my friends list either....

Now the playlist is completely empty. I feel I'm losing trust here, how can I be sure my playlists won't lose tracks?

The playlist has a subscriber if that helps the error checking somewhat.

Hi guys,

I understand there was a little server issue yesterday, are you still getting the same problems?

If you are, could you tell me the names of the playlists that you're having trouble with? I'll look into it for you.

Who's your Spotify Star?

Hey thanks,

The issue is still present. The playlist affected is called "Indie house/electro" (it's under the folders [ LISTS ] > [ UP ]).

I would be eternally thankful if it could be restored to how it was before the problems occured (if that's not possible to see, just restoring it to how it was a couple of weeks ago will be perfect).

My Spotify username is linuslovholm.

The issue is not yet resolved.

The weird thing is, on one computer the playlist shows no tracks, on another (and on mobile) it shows five tracks.

What's going on?

Sincerely,

Linus

I've fiddled around with a few things in your account. Try logging out and in, then let me know if the missing tracks have been successfully restored.

Yes, oh thank you! The tracks are back 🙂

Thanks for your help

Hi Sam - I saw that you were able to help someone else.  I've been off Spotify for about two weeks, and now that I've logged back in I notice entire playlists missing (some I've subscribed to and some I've created).  One is called "random stuff" (that one I made), I think one was called "ma vie" or similar.  Can you help restore these?  I've tried anything I can think of!

Thanks-
Dagmar

We had some brief server issues that might have caused this, but they're sorted now. Are you still having problems? I'll be happy to investigate further if so.

Seems to work now

These server issues seem to happen at weekends, the very time people want to lay back and hear some tunes - not the best time to run updates or do modifications!! Ive twice sat down to listen when the streaming service had issues, and yesterday when playlist weren't available.

Amazingly you never offer compensation when at least three evenings have been wrecked with no service, yet I'm paying you!!!

I couldn't go to Latitude, so wanted to listen to my Latitude playlist. No such luck the servers were having issues (yet again).

This costs more than Netflix, which has no such issues, and is the one regular payment I make for a service which seems to be in beta testing phase when used by the actual public.

I'm passing my comments on to journalists. Are you still in beta testing phase for some of your working elements, because it really feels like that?

Have this been rigourously tested before release to the publc?

I am missing some tracks from my playlist too and now when I search them, they are no longer found? Does anyone know what could be the issue?

Thanks

For some reason i lost every track ive added to my playlist (Yey music) this year today, it was working all fine yesterday.. Weird stuff.. Anyone know if there is a way to fix it, or do i have to start all fresh? 🙂

I see 199 tracks in that playlist at the moment. They may just temporarily have gone for a wander - let me know if they're still missing in a bit.

Thanks for the immensly quick reply

Dont know how long i should wait :), but no change from earlier after a few restarts of the software. Latest track i see added is from January 2011 (except the few tracks i added just now), so there should be quite a few songs missing. And i only see 185 songs in that playlist, including the few i just added.

Right, I've just retrieved 160 or so songs that didn't want to show up in the playlist. How are we doing now?
