Redeem Code Hasn't Worked.

Hello, I have just entered a redeem code I have purchased via a physical gift card. I entered the code and chose 1 month Premium. It sent me to a page and said I had upgraded and had Premium for 1 month. However, I went to my Spotify libray and it appears as though I'm still on the free version. (It still shows the banner saying I've used up my 10 hours of free music.) I went to my account details and it now says I'm still using the free version.

 

Help would be very much appreciated.

Hey Peter, thanks for the reply. I have only one account on Spotify and it isn't connected with Facebook. The thing is that I have an order number, so I guess that the code should work. Also, I sent an email to customer services but I haven't received a reply yet.

@user-removed - Did you get an email receipt which will have details of your username in it? 

Is so what username is displayed?

No, I didn't get an email. The order number I mentioned before is from the url of the page of the "success" message that my account has been credited with 3 months of Spotify Premium.

I have redeemed my code. It was succesful. But it doesn´t work! I redeemed premium but my account tells me I am using the free version. PLs, help me 🙂

 

Hi, I have recently typed in my pin number on the redeem page and am still considered a "free" user. I wanted the premium and it never let me click on what option I wanted. I tried re typing my pin number and it said this code is already been redeemed? What can I do to get the premium I originally wanted?

 

Also, when I go into receipts to check if the redeem code went through,  it doesn't come up. So it seems as though it is just not registering all together...

Any help is appreciated!

Are you definitely logging in using the correct details? 

You should have also gotten an email confirmation with the username which redeemed the code in it.

I never received an email....

Is your account showing as premium on your online overview?

 

If it is showing as premium then you should be good to go! Sometimes a quick log out and back in again is needed. If you are still having issues, try a clean reinstallation of the application. 

 

If your account is still showing as free then you have not logged into the account you have upgraded. Double check your details, its amazingly easy to accidentally have two accounts, one with a Spotify username and another using your Facebook details. If you can't find your account, don't subscribe again as you might be billed twice, instead get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to lend a hand.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

ahh yes figured it out!! Thank you So much!!!!

I brought a $36 card from a supermarket and redeemed it exactly as it told me to. It's still saying I'm on the free version and won't let me play music. I've logged in and out multiple times and it won't work. What do I do?

Hi. I have the same problem with redeem code. I buy it for 1 month but code is invalid ! Please help. I got this message "Prepaid code is invalid for this country". I write an email for spotify but i haven't got an answer yet.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

If you still have not gotten a reply:

Did you get a confirmation email from the contact form? It should be similar to "Spotify Support Case #XXXXXXX". If so, reply back to that email and tell them you still need help.

 

If you got an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it saying you still need help, even if it's from a no-reply address.

 

If you never got an email, look in your spam folder to see if there is an email in there. Make sure you are checking the email account you used to sign up to Spotify. You can check the email on your account here.
