Sorry Wrong Password

I was in the process of re-subscribing to Spotify Premium when I encountered the "Sorry Wrong Password" error. I receive this error in every browser (and after logging out of Facebook). It seems users have been having this problem for months not and it is ridiculous that your development team can't take care of such an important issue. 

 

You are losing a great deal of customers over it including this one.

I had the same problem but managed to find a way to get around the WRONG PASSWORD error. Go to ACCOUNT - SUBSCRIPTION and click on SPOTIFY PREMIUM. It then gives you an oppurtunity to enter your password.

yesterday i tried all browsers on my PC, now i tried chrome on MAC.. not working BUT safari works!

but thats not a solution... pls spotify fix this. seems to be a cache/cookie thing. 😞

Hey unchaz, welcome to the Community.

Sorry to hear you're getting the password issue while trying to upgrade your subscription. I can assure you we're doing our best to get it sorted, I'll see if I can get things sped up a bit.

In the meantime, you should be able to get it done by having a gone in another browser. Or failing that, try logging out of Facebook entirely before trying it.

I have had the same problem, closed everything and logged out of everything, and it still doesn't work.

Richard, which part of that didn't you understand?

My apologies Steve, unchaz - the unseasonal heatwave over here frying my brain most likely. Responded to a few of these today.

It seems there were some odd Facebook authentication errors popping up earlier today - but it seems better now. Any more luck guys?

My premium spotify account has been hacked yesterday, I can't log in with my login/password...

 

When I log in with my facebook account (successfully), it appears that the mail and password has been changed...

 

What can i do?

As this is an issue specific to your account it's best to get in touch via our contact form.

 

Our support team will then be able to give you a hand.

 

 

I've done it, but the email has been changed. Hope they will not reply to the false contact.

Hi Broono-- Can you write to us with an alternate email address to the one linked to your account?

One that we can change within your account as well?

I'm waiting answer... But I can't use my spotify account, I'm always logged out by "hacker" activity...

 

It's really really boring

By "Write to us" you mean by the contact form?

Thank you for solving a problem that the Spotify staff seem to have singularly failed to. Worked a treat in a matter of seconds for me

I cannot upgrade my account.  It tells me that I have the wrong password.  I am putting in the same password as my linked facebook account but it does not work.  I have tried changing my facebook password.  Clearing internet browsing history.  This has been going on for over a month.  I really like spotify but this is a complete pain.

 

Could somebody please help.

I finally tried a combination that worked.  I went on IE which didn't work and then when I came back to google chrome and tried to log in it worked.  Maybe it was deleting the browser history and logging out?  

JenDListening - I was just going to suggest a change of internet browser. It appears to be a problem with some cookies related to Facebook, so a change of browser often works.

I was accepted on the Beta version for Android and it workes ifI want to stream music. I cant download anything.

If aI use the Android app från Google Play I am get the message tha my password is wong. What to do?

I'm having the same issue when trying to upgrade from a trial account to a premium subscription.

I have tried different browsers, have changed my facebook password, have logged out of facebook and spotify across all devices, how can I resolve this?
