Spotify without Facebook

Spotify without Facebook

Hi,  Most of the posts on this topic don't seem very recent, so I'd like to confirm the following:  I will be deleting my Facebook account.  Since I was forced to use FB for log-in when I signed up as a paying Spotify customer, I understand that Spotify would prefer to lose me as a customer than allow me to change to a direct log-in (as it now permits brand new users to do).  Is it still true that there is no way to make this possible without 1) cancelling one's Spotify account, 2) losing that month's fee, and 3) (optionally) creating a new non-FB-linked Spotify account?

Thanks.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Unfortunately, if you created your account using Facebook, then there is no way to seperate your Spotify account from your Facebook details to move over to a Spotify only account. So no matter which way you do it, you will need a new account.

The quickest and easiest way (in my opinion) to migrate to another account is outlined in a tutorial topic here.

Alternatively, you can get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you in migrating over to a new account.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
