Trying to change my password on my Spotify Premium Account

So, I'm trying to change my password on my Spotifiy Premium account and it gives me an error saying 'Another account is already registered with this email address.'. The email address is mine, and the only other account I can think of would be the when they asked me to link my facebook. Anyways, I need some help resolving this issue because I don't trust my old password anymore.

Hey, I have the same problem when I try to change my password.

 

Another account is already registered with this email address.

 

Any help would be great!

@ts1992 - As mentioned a few times in this topic, you need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to remove the duplicate account for you. 😉 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Did you get in touch like I mentioned? Support don't monitor these forums so it won't get done unless you send them a message using the contact form.

@mwoodruff_89 - If you could drop the support guys a quick message using the online contact form they will be able to get that sorted out for you.

Hi I have this same issue, i have an Spotify account (not FB) and when i try to change my password this message appears to me.

@azielinsky - It means you have a duplicate account in the system (super annoying!). If you could get in touch using the link in my post above the support guys will be able to get it removed for you.

@adarka - Spotify support will need to lend a hand to remove the extra/duplicated account for you. Quickest way get in touch is via Twitter: @SpotifyCares.

You can also get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to lend a hand.

I have had the same problem when I try to change my password I get the error message "Another account is already registered with this email address."  Please can you sort this for me?

I cannot chage my password even using my correct Facebook one.

I just change my password on my Facebiik profile to try, but it fails again.

Get in touch with support using the link at the bottom of the previous page and they can lend a hand. 😉
