Using Spotify abroad?

Hi!

I am moving from the Netherlands to Peru this summer. I have a premium account, which I pay from a Dutch bank account. 

Can I fully use Spotify in Peru? Or do I need to unsubscribe?

And my husband, he wants to have an account too, and will buy a new computer. Does he need to install Spotify in The Netherlands or doesn't it matter if he installs Spotify in Peru when he has opened his account in The Nederlands? (and will be paying from his Dutch account)

Install the apps before you leave and as long as you continue to pay for your accounts whilst you are away from your current bank account you shouldn't have any issues at all 😉

Hi there @MaliniF! Welcome to the Spotify Community, :).

I may be wrong but as long as you are a premium member, this should not have any long term issues with your account. However, if you are indeed permanently moving to a new address, then you should probably change the country of origin in your account. If you cannot do this yourself, you can get a hold of one of the Spotify Team members by using this form here.

Your husband can wait to install the software once you've moved, or you can opt to create the account now. However, I believe the only issue with this would be having to change your country of origin once again on the account so there aren't any restrictions imposed on your account.

Do note that changing your country could mean different restrictions on your ability to listen to Spotify.

Well, Peru is not a Spotify-country so if we change the country of origin we will not be able to use it, it seems?

We will stay there for 4 years. But still be able to use our Dutch bank account to pay 😉

Just leave your account set as where it is now, since premium gives you unlimited abroad access. 😉
