We want to keep you in the loop with regards to some of the most trending ongoing issues reported here, in the Spotify Community. We're sharing updates from behind the scenes to let you know what's been fixed, what we’re tracking, and what we need your help with.

📌 We’ve received reports that for some folks, interactions with the AI DJ showed the error “Your current speaker does not support interaction with DJ”, even when no external speaker was connected. If you’re still experiencing this, please make sure your Spotify app is up to date.
2. [Android Auto] Larger playlists do not load when offline
Reports came in of larger playlists not loading in Android Auto when offline. Some of you experienced a “Spotify is not responding” message on the car screen. This should now works as expected!
3. Cannot open desktop player on MacBook
📌 The Spotify desktop app was failing to launch on macOS for some users. Should you still experience this, please make sure to give
these steps a try. If it persists, let us know here in the Community and we'll investigate.
4. Mandopop category not loading in Browse
The Mandopop genre page in Browse appeared empty or failed to load content. We appreciate the reports, and rest assured things are all fixed here too!
5. Sorting albums by release year from oldest to newest makes the library not to work
Applying this sort order caused Your Library to stop functioning or displaying properly. This has been fixed!
6. Can’t play downloaded songs on search on offline mode
Downloaded tracks could not be played from Search results when the app was offline. Thanks for all the information provided whilst this was looked into, we've got no new reports here!
7. Spotify Personalized Mixes don't show up
Personalized mix playlists were missing entirely from users’ libraries or Home views. These now appear correctly again.
8. popup screen every time app takes focus (choose a device to connect )
Reports came in that some folks were being repeatedly prompted to select a playback device whenever returning to the app. This is now fixed
9. Smart Shuffle feature missing on playlists
The Smart Shuffle toggle had disappeared from some playlists. This is all fixed now, and as always we appreciate the reports.
10. Custom Order sorting option missing inside folders
Playlists inside folders couldn’t be manually reordered. The Custom Order option is available again!
11. If a local file is FLAC, the artist name repeats with a semicolon
Reports came in to let us know Artist metadata was duplicated for FLAC local files. This is now resolved.
12. Black screen when playing music videos on Google TV Streamer 4K
📌 Videos played audio only and showed a black screen for some folks. A working solution was identified and shared in the thread here.
13. Toggle for the Auto-Download feature goes off screen on iOS if the name of a podcast is too long
Some UI issues were identified, causing the Auto-Download toggle to be pushed out of view. This has been corrected.
14. Queued Songs Not Being Tracked in On Repeat Playlist
Reports came in to let us know songs played from the queue were not influencing the On Repeat playlist. This has been fixed.
15. Recommended songs at the bottom of my playlist won't refresh - button does not work
The Refresh button for recommendations wasn't generating a new list. This is now working as expected.
16. Liked songs appear empty across devices
Some folks' Liked Songs libraries showed as empty across multiple devices. This is now fixed!
17. Discover Weekly suggesting songs from family members listening history and updating twice a week
Reports came in to suggest recommendations were being influenced by Family members activity and refreshed twice a week. This has now been fixed.
UNDER INVESTIGATION
18. IOS Spotify app resumes playback after disconnecting bluetooth audio device
On iOS, we're getting reports that Spotify unexpectedly starts or resumes playback after a Bluetooth device is disconnected. This is currently being looked into by the relevant team.
19. Spotify disconnects from bluetooth when open and changes playlists
Bluetooth audio appears to drop when some of you are opening Spotify or switching playlists, forcing manual reconnection. Our teams are actively investigating this.
20. Make this a playlist feature is creating a copy of the whole Liked Songs playlist
We've seen reports that using the Make this a playlist option incorrectly duplicates all Liked Songs instead of only the selected subset. This is under investigation.
21. Can't upload show art
Reports confirm some folks are unable to upload or update artwork for podcast shows. This is being investigated.
NOT RIGHT NOW
22. Desktop App now hiding media controls when using Expand Now Playing view button
📌 This is currently expected, however if you'd like you can add your vote to this idea.
23. Certain UI elements overlap on foldable devices
📌 We’re aware of this, and whilst there’s no ETA for a full resolution right now, rest assured it's on the team’s radar. In the meantime, we recommend keeping the app up to date.
24. Lyrics don't stay on the screen when changing songs
📌 We can confirm that this is expected. However, our Idea Exchange is always open for votes or to submit your own here.
25. "Your Episodes" can't be removed from Your Library
📌 We’ve received reports that Your Episodes can’t be removed from the Your Library section on desktop. The team has identified a temporary workaround, which requires changes on our side. If you’re experiencing this, please use the Send us a message option on this page so we can assist you directly.
27. Short silence tracks on playlist excluded from shuffle
📌 Shuffle mode will remove duplicate tracks from the queue to prevent accidental repetition, which helps keep sessions more varied and fresh. If you’d prefer to hear repeated tracks, you can switch to linear playback.
28. Command-L focuses search field but doesn't put cursor there
This behavior is known and remains on our radar, we recommend keeping your app up to date.
29. Tab switching resets view state instead of preserving scroll/navigation position
Right now, resetting scroll and navigation position when switching tabs is currently known and expected. We appreciate the comments.
