Hey Community,
me and probably hundreds of other Artists/Playlist-Creators are victims of fraudulent playlist reporting bot-attacks which always run according to the same scheme.
1. multiple fake spotify accounts are created
2. bots use these accounts to report playlists by reporting them as inappropriate or offensive content that violates profile and playlist image guidelines.
3. thumbs, titles and descriptions of these playlists are erased by Spotify.
As a consequence these playlists can no longer be identified by users, nor can they gather new followers.
The goal of these bot attacks is to eliminate competing playlists of a similar music/sound topic.
Spotify knows about this issue now for several years and a community member already proposed a solution in April 2020: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Playlists-Solution-to-false-abusive-reporting/idc-p/5261...
But until today Spotify is doing nothing about this issue that is hurting so many artists and playlist creators. The only thing they implemented is a Captcha, but every dumb bot can handle this barrier.
I also reported every single takedown to the Spotify support team, but never got an answer back.
Recently things started getting worse. For example today my thumbs, titles and descriptions were taken down already 5 times in 2 hours and it's getting worse, because the frequency of these take downs is getting higher and higher.
Let me be clear, we need a reporting system to report inappropriate behavior. But for all the honest artists and playlists creators Spotify is doing nothing at all. And this is a total shame!!!
So again as I asked multiple times before, without getting any answer:
Why aren't we getting any help on this issue from the Spotify-Support?
