Hey there @nsholmes21,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community! Happy to hear you've discovered new tunes and are enjoying the music 🙂
The search feature is expected to work in the way you're describing, providing different search fields for Your Library, the playlists, etc. This is to give more specific search results, depending on what you're looking for. You can think of search on top of Home screen as the global one, and the smaller one on the left in Your Library/on top of playlists as the more granular exploration of the Library.
We added the Library search after quite a few requests from our users. And if you'd like, you can create an Idea on functions or features that you'd would like to see an update for. This way, other users who feel the same way can leave a vote and show their support. You can read more on how ideas work on this page.
However, as I see that you're mentioning Chrome browser and that you're unable to create folders - just to confirm, does this happen both on the Web Player and in the desktop app? Do you notice any difference in other browsers?
In the app, you can also toggle on the Playlist filter in Your Library, so only playlists and folders are displayed (which can be switch off/changed at any time). It's also worth keeping in mind that the app has a few more settings and features available compared to the Web Player, such as sorting track order in playlists & audio quality settings.
On another note, the song that you mention is endlessly looping, it's possible that either Repeat or perhaps Autoplay is switched on. When the current play queue ends, the app will automatically play songs similar to the previous one while Autoplay is on.
As an option, if you'd like to play songs from a specific artist, is to head over to their artist page and press play from there. This will start off by playing their most popular songs. You can also choose to switch on Shuffle, which will play tracks from their discography in a random order.
Hope this clears things up!
