Continuous Music

Continuous Music

I teach fitness classes and need the music to stay the same beats per minute with no pauses between songs. When I go to settings I have no option to change anything.

I have tried on the app on my I phone and my MacBook.

Hey @avillaa,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We'd like to add some insights. It's not possible to change the beats per minute (BPM) of a song within the app in general terms. We understand where you're coming from, and we understand why you'd like to see this implemented. Other users had similar ideas, so they went ahead and posted their suggestions on our Idea boards. We've located some of them:

On another note, you can use Crossfade or Automix features to set transitions between songs. Crossfade lets you overlap 2 tracks by fading out of the first while fading in the next. Automix allows beat-matched seamless transitions between songs on select Spotify playlists. You can read more about them in this article.

Lastly, remember Spotify is just for personal use. However, we do offer service through Soundtrack Your Brand, which is something you could explore. You can read more about it here.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Can you tell me how to find the cross fade and auto mix options? It is not under my settings?

Thanks for returning with this question @avillaa!

Could you check out and follow the steps in this help article that @AlejaR provided if you haven't already? As enabling/disabling these options is a bit different on mobile and desktop we recommend that you take a look there.

If you don't see them in Settings on your devices, clear the cache within Spotify and then log out > log back in twice in a row as this helps resync your account and devices.

Hope this helps and we're here if anything else comes up 🙂
