My Question or Issue

I'm korean user and I don't like chinese and indonesia pop, but spotify keep updating chinese and indonesia pop song on my 'Discover weekly'. How can I stop this?

Hi, I don't know what is happening and wanted to ask if anyone else has the same issue. My Weekly Playlist has been completely messed up for the last two weeks. Last week, it was only filled with Indian songs, and this week, it's all Spanish. The genres are not at all what I usually listen to. I listen to a lot of German audiobooks; maybe that's tripping up the algorithm?

Does anyone have any ideas about what is happening?

Sorry to see this has been happening!

You can hit 'dislike' on any of the songs and the algorithm should start suggesting less of their kind!
And, in the meantime, if you feel like doing so, you can check this Idea out and leave a vote 🙌🏼
The more votes it gathers - the bigger the chances of implementation 🙂

I regularly use the dislike button, but I find it strange that my entire weekly mix is filled with only Indian or Spanish music. I've never listened to similar music before, and I'm wondering if there's a reason behind it or if other people have experienced the same issue.

Hey! I am from Germany as well and I am having the exact same issue! It started with all Italian songs, then all Spanish and this week all Indian. I disliked everything and looked up my history if anyone is using my account. But it's only the songs I listened to. I am also listening to German audiobooks, mostly "Die drei???". I also thought that that might have caused it. But I always listened to that and it was never a problem. Did the issue get better for you? I am normally looking forward to my weekly mix, but not anymore right now. I would appreciate an answer.

The Discover Weekly playlist gets updated based on how frequently you stream music as well as your listening habits. Saving more of your favorite tunes and adding them to playlists will teach the app about your music tastes a lot better and it will gradually phase out content that you do not like.
