Just to confirm, did you already try running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps? This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Multiple people are having this issue, have you found any solutions?
I've done all the suggested things, clean install etc. I banned Billy Idol this morning for at least the 20th time, he just keeps coming back. And many others!

Additionally, would you mind sending us a screenshot of the options you're seeing when you open the menu tapping on the 3 dots of the artists page?
Also, we'd like to know if you're only seeing the artists you blocked recently in your recommendations or you're seeing the ones you blocked a long time ago.

Could you check if the songs you're getting recommendations for are singles by Billy Idol?
Because, if Billy Idol is featuring in a song, it won't get filtered out.

Can you try logging in to a different account, like a friend's or relative's, or create a new free account, and try blocking artists there? Let us know if that works properly in that account.

Can you confirm if whenever you go to the Billy Idol page you find the option Don't play this unselected, and you have to tap it again, or if you manually tap on Allow to play this and then Don't play this again? We're trying to understand if this is something related to the option not being saved or if it's being saved but isn't working properly.

This seems to be an issue related to your account. In this case, we'd suggest creating a new account here in order to see if you notice the same behavior.
If the same thing happens with the new account, it would be helpful to have some screenshots where we can take a better look at what's happening. You can attach them using the Insert Photos option in the post editor.

Not to worry!
Keep in mind that the system won't allow you to create a new account with the same email address, so in this case you'll need another one.
If the new account works as it should, you can take a look at this article that describes how to start over and transfer all your music and followers.
You can also follow the steps you'll find here in order to cancel the subscription on the old account and avoid any double charges.

I mainly use spotify on desktop using the mac os app or my browser. I was wondering for a while if a such option exist but never found it. After reading this post I discovered that it exist on my phone. Should I take my phone every time I want to remove artists ? Is there any way to do it on desktop ?
