My Question or Issue
Every time I open spotify I get greeted by this friendly lady on the cover of the playlist "Gently Mouthing you ASMR". I opened this playlist "ONCE". Additionally I get more recommendations for another ASMR playlist I opened once.. If I was listening to this kind of thing more often I would understand but the only reason I opened them in the first place was because Spotify kept throwing them in my face.
Spotify does not give me an option to remove this suggestion from this page and she's been there for more than a month already..
Every time I open Spotify at work I have to look behind my shoulder because of this unnecessary explicit content.
Even if it was a normal playlist, Spotify should give me the option to remove it from these suggestions no?!?
Solved! Go to Solution.
i've been a paid Spotify user for some time now, and had been generally pleased for about as long, but the simple fact that Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan keep being recommended to me among podcast suggestions — with no way to block or even flag them as unwanted — is enough that i'm begrudgingly lookiing for alternative platforms to jump ship to today. i do not want to, but i'm sickened every time these two in particular show up on my screen. PLEASE implement some kind of way for users to better curate recommendations.
I can't believe this still hasn't been implemented. I'm sick of opening Spotify on my phone every day to be greeted by an album suggestion entitled "Fatherf***er," which I will never listen to, and not having a way to remove it.
I found a solution!!! Specifically for the Good morning section if you listen to a different ASMR album/playlist (one that isn't so explicit) it will replace the slot the one pictured above takes.
I tried listening to a wide array of music types, which would add squares, but not replace it--not until I tried with a different ASMR playlist did it change.
It isn't gone completely, but at least it makes opening Spotify no longer an NSFW mission...
Adding to this topic, can't believe there's so many of these issues and Spotify's response basically is "lol we don't care".
I have a full section of "New Music Friday" where there's about 50/50 playlists I like, and some I have no intention of listening. Just let me ignore these playlists and hide/remove them from any pages I see.

Almost 10 years as a Spotify Premium subscriber and this is the final straw. I can deal with the perpetual price increases because, even at the higher cost, I still think the service is worth it. Or I still thought it was worth it.
The inability to remove offensive content from your home-screen is a non-negotiable. You know what they say: this is not an airport, you don't need to announce your departure, but I hope losing me as a customer, the Spofity moderators reading this comment might take this issue more seriously.
I appreciate there are commercial considerations as to why they do this, hence, the only way to affect change is to vote with your wallet. When the subscriber numbers drop to a certain point, it's only then will customer-impacting issues will be finally addressed.
Good luck, all!

No. I need to setup an alternative; my kids use Spotify Family so I need to take care of them first. As I said, this is the final straw; I've been disappointed with a number of decisions and directions Spotify has taken for some time. It's not just this.
I also have nothing to prove to some random stranger on the internet who can't spell. Maybe you should consider finding a new hobby that brings you some happiness in your life instead of trolling people online.
But you make big anouncements, airport-like, I think your claim would be way more impactful with just a screenshot.
At this point they can just believe you are a big mouth trying to blackmail but too lazy to leave.
You make a valid point. As soon as I complete the process I'll return and post a screenshot.
You would also shame those too lazy to leave like myself
Yo @spotify, can you just add the ability to hold your finger on the content and click “do not recommend”… this would take a couple days of work MAX and would greatly improve your user experience. The fact we have seen this issue for 5 years and you’re too stubborn to change it shows a massive issue with your ability to respond to customer dissatisfaction.

My Question or Issue
My ex girlfriend’s playlist keeps showing up on my recommended playlist and there is no way to delete it, my current GF gets **bleep** every time she see’s it, what’s up with this Spotify??
I’ve been using Spotify since the very first version. Now my recommendations are full of unwanted podcasts and ASMR, I cannot do anything about it and Spotify won’t fix it. So now I will switch to another service and never look back. It will take me a day to just transfer all playlists but it will be worth it, the product is unusable. Spotify, this has been an escalating problem for years and you are loosing paying customers, still you won’t do what one good developer can fix in a damn week. This is so freakin bad. Good bye!
