Multiple Artists Appear as One

Solved!

Multiple Artists Appear as One

One of my favorite bands is Stuff, a 70s funk band. In the early 2010's an English DJ started using the same stage name. If you go to Spotify's artist page for Stuff, all the music from both the 70's funk band and 2010's DJ are put together as a single artist instead of the two separate acts they actually are. They should be presented individually.

Hi @NachoMist

Spotify created a tool so you can report this yourself! First, go to line-in.
Go to the "Artist Roles" section on the album page and tell them about the "main artist". If the existing "main artist" is incorrect, let them know it's wrong by clicking on the "X" next to that role. A second step is to add the correct main artist by clicking on "add credit". If the correct artist isn't in Spotify's catalog yet, you can choose the "New Artist: [Artist Name]" option. In your case, you could add something like "Stuff DJ" for differentiation.

Hope this helps.
