My Question or Issue

I really dont want this on my home page. There's clearly something I don't want to see and I only have this when paying for premium. I really don't like the fact there is no way to block a podcast from showing up, it is just disturbing that whenever I want to go play music, I have to look at that on my home screen. I don't want to see podcasts, that's not what I got spotify premium for.

Hi @JayRL4,

Thank you for posting on the Community.

At the moment, unfortunately there's not a feature that allows the removal of certain sections of your home screen.

However, we recommend having a look at this Idea suggesting the option to customize your screen.

You can support the idea by adding your +VOTE and clicking on Subscribe in the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up-to-date with any relevant updates about this. It’s also worth knowing that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

This is incredibly frustrating and it seems from Google searches that this has been going on for many years with the only interest spotify has in it showing pornographic content to kids (12 and 13 in my kids sake) is the above suggestion.

I pay for the family account and it seems a complete waste when my young son is being spammed with podcasts about 'The Sh*t Show' featuring naked women on the topic of 'Shagmag'.

All filters are turned on to prevent adult content yet this still is shown. The best that can be offered is to vote on something that should be an absolute no brainer. It really seems like Spotify has very little concern in what it pushes to kid's profiles.

Hi there @divingduck-nz1,

Thank you for your reply and feedback.

We're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall and we’re constantly aiming to improve our features. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to use Spotify like you wish to do at the moment.

You can read more about how your feedback reaches Spotify here.

Once again - thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. Let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

It is not just something that requires "feedback" and canned responses. YOU ARE SHOWING EROTIC CONTENT TO CHILDREN and anyone that want to use your platform and not see erotic shows to try on their homescreen.

I have the same problem. This is disgusting. Kindly help me to get rid of it. This is a music app. Not some Po*nography app.

The idea that a "liked" post is how Spotify listens to customers and the amount of likes determines the outcome is pathetic. I pay for the service, let me customize the service!

This is so silly it is almost pathetic. As a software engineer, imagining giving my customers this level of 'service' seems ridiculous to me. You'd have people leaving your platform as soon as any viable alternative appears, if you do things this way. Yet here we are, Spotify team strikes again, being unable to provide some basic functionality, which is cheap and fast to implement, or deliberately not adding it in the first place and creating a 'vote wall' to justify not adding it later.
