Device: Dell XTS 15-7590
OS: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Spotify account: premium
App version: Spotify version 1.1.55.498.gf9a83c60
Issue: I can't find local files. I have checked "Show Local Files" and have the correct source.
Here is a file that I want to add to a playlist:
alex@escher:~/Music$ ls -l World_Burn_harmonies.mp3
-rwx------ 1 alex alex 951274 Sep 23 2020 World_Burn_harmonies.mp3
However, when I search for it in the search box, nothing appears.
This has only happened since I recently upgraded my spotify version; unfortunately I have forgotten the old version I used to use 😕
It's not a problem with playing local files - playlists I made with local files in the past still work.
spotify-dump.txt is empty when I reproduce these steps.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey @al333xj
Does this song have any metadata with it. I mean the information for artist, album and song?
The new version of Spotify doesn't return search results for local files. You can search from within the local files themselves, there's a little search/filter box (activates with Ctrl + F if you like keyboard shortcuts) and typing there should find it for you.
Let me know how it goes for you 🙂

Thank you! You are a legend. I did not even realise that local files were listed somewhere 🤣
