All songs stop playing after a few seconds in MacOs

I've been using spotify for Windows and Android for a while and everything worked almost perfectly, but recently i got a new Mac computer and one of the first things i did was to download spotify app, and since day one its one problem after the other.

Right now every song i play stops after 4-8 seconds, i've reinstalled, deleted cache, everything and noghing works. The thing is that when i activate a VPN pointing to USA (I live in Venezuela but i have premium), all songs play perfectly without stopping, so i guess its something with the location; but considering it works in my phone and other laptop i can't quite understand the reason behind it. 

Computer: Macbook pro late 2018

Any help would be appreciated

PD: i'm not willing to have the VPN on always just for my music, so that's not a solution.

A similar issue has been resolved previously. According to this page;

Spotify is currently not avaliable in Venezuela, the service also does not support use of VPNs so unfortunately there is not much that can be done at this time. 

You can sign up to be informed when Spotify does launch in Venezuela though http://www.spotify.com/why-not-available/

Thanks for your reply, even tho spotify is not available in Venezuela, my account is American and i'm in Venezuela right now, so spotify should be working perfectly, this is shown in this article

The solution i previously marked as correct is'nt the correct answer, i download a version from one month ago and spotify started working flawlessly so it has something to do with the version of the app.
