Cannot drag a song from the "Now Playing" in the "Play Queue" to a Playlist

Cannot drag a song from the "Now Playing" in the "Play Queue" to a Playlist

Plan: Family/PremiumPlan

USA

Device: MacBook Pro 2017

Operating System: macOS Mojave 10.14.1

It is not currently possible to drag the song in now playing to a playlist

Reproduction steps:

  1. Create a playlist (not a shared one if that matters)
  2. Begin playing another playlist
  3. Click on the "Queue" button
  4. Drag the song in the "Now Playing" to the playlist on the left that was just created
  5. Tooltip while dragging just shows "0 items" and therefore will not add the song to the playlist

Work-around:

Right click the song, select "Add to Playlist >" and find the new playlist to add the song to. This is more difficult to do than drag&drop.

Hey @arobi.

Thanks for raising this with us on the Community!

Another user in the Community has already created an idea suggesting that this feature be implemented. We suggest that you head on over there and add your vote to the idea. The more votes that the idea garners, the greater the possibility that Spotify will consider implementing it in the future!

Hope that helps - let us know if you need anything else.
