Desktop version on MacOs: Data Cache

Desktop version on MacOs: Data Cache

OS: Mac Os Ventura 13.5.2.

I changed the download cache to a new location on another disc an named it "Spotify-Cache". The result was that "/Library/Application Support/Spotify/PersistentCache/Storage" got deleted, as expected.

But when I download files for offline use Spotify only creates a bunch of folders in my new cache folder. Downloaded files are still stored on the main hd in "/Library/Caches/com.spotify.client/Data".

Both, my new cache folder and "/Library/Caches/com.spotify.client/Data" contain the same folders, but in "data" these folders are filled with files, in my "own" cache folder all folders are empty (0kb).

I reinstalled Spotify (and deleted all spotify folders including "/Library/Caches/com.spotify.client") folder and set the new download folder again, but Spotify still only saves files "/Library/Caches/com.spotify.client/Data".

I don't think this is the expected behaviour. How it is possible to prevent Spotify to save all data on the main hd?
