Hey there @Jamesr24,

Thanks for sharing this here in the Community!

We'd recommend performing a thorough reinstallation of the app with the steps in this Spotify Answer

Before installing the app anew, it'd be a good idea also typing the following on your Mac's terminal:

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Spotify

Let us know how it goes! We'll be right here if you need more help.

Have a lovely day 🙂

This is happening to me as well for a long time now even on the web player.  Very annoying.  How do I do a clean install on the web player ?

Hey @JTmon3y,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

You can't do a clean install on the Spotify Web player. On another note, there are couple other things that you can try.

We'd first recommend to check your host files. Steps can be found in this article (for Windows) and in this one (for Mac).

Check also for any pending updates on your browser and make sure you're using the latest version available so that you don't miss out on any fixes.

In the meantime, you can try opening the Web Player in an incognito/private window in your browser to see if you'll experience the same.

Let us know how it goes.
