Not sure what happened but up until a few days ago my radio area was working fine and now all of a sudden starting a day ago or so I can't load my radio section at all or create new artist radio's.
I'm on a mac and I've tried completely uninstalling Spotify and removing all cache/preference files and still the same after a clean reinstall.
Solved! Go to Solution.
same here from austria.
on both my macbook and my imac.
also the webplayer do not play radio
I had a same problem on windows 7 enterprise and solution for me was to swich off "hardware acceleration" in settings.
Same here from Spain.
Radio doesn't load for more than 4 weeks in my account.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling spotify, in two different computers, but I still have error message.
I thought it was related to some stored configuration in my computer, but the same error appears in spotify web player, whereever I try.
I have tried to login in my computer with a friend account, and Radio loads perfectly, but when I login again with mine, the error appears.
So the error must be related with my Premium account. :((
I need to solve this, because I mainly use spotify Radio at work, with no ads.
.
Do you have a solution that works for a Macbook?
Had the same problem. This fixed it for me on a Mac-
Turned the app on on my iphone while Spotify was open on my computer. Started playing the radio from my iphone (control computer from iphone app). When I switched back to the computer, the problem was gone. Bizarre, but spotify has a bug and the admin don't seem to have any idea or care.
It's playing the radio, but only when I use my phone to tell it to. Bizarre.
Same here, I have to log out of absolutely all of my spotify devices, tell my computer from my phone to play on my computer.
Only way for the computer to show radio again is to force close Spotify on my phone, but even that doesn't work. I have to disconnect my phone from the internet, and turn my phone off and on agaiin, and not open the mobil app again for radio to load on my desktop...
I either get an infinite loading circle, or an error when I try to use radio on the desktop app otherwise.
Starting to seem like a real network bug on Spotify's part, as I've cleared all temporary and local data on my PC, and logged off, uninstalled, restarted, and reinstalled many times on both my PC and phone now. Didn't change a thing...
Hmm
Windows 8.1, Spotify 1.0.4, Spotify Premium. Radio doesn't load and nothing listed here helps. This update sucks.
EDIT: Spotify 1.0.5
I am Win 8.1, latest spotify on both android and Desktop. and premium as well
Happens only on Desktop (which led me to think it was some local file issue) but come to find radio won't load on the Web Player either...
It seems to be glitches in our accounts themselves... as logging into a new user, this issue doesn't appear.
The issue happens on my account on all devices, even tried another computer whose owner's free spotify account works fine on.
Guess fingers crossed, but someone above said it's happened for 4 weeks for them? Oh dear...
it seesm that 1.05 has broken radio !
I had same blank screen /spinning wheel issue.
I completely removed and downloaded spotify which put back 1.04. I checked that radio was fine.
I then rashy accepted the newer version / click to restart offer, and lo & behold radio was broken again!
so with no other changes to my setup ( windows 7) 1.04 radio works, 1.05 radio broken
Radio sometimes (rarely) loads, but when it does you can always break radio again by re-starting Spotify. Much like the issue where lyrics don't load. This update is downright awful.

as many of us are experienceing this, it seems to prove it;s not our fault, i.e. it;s not being caused by our local installs or by our ISPs.
I lack the patience to leave it in stuck mode for hours to see fi it will self repair, instad of spamming the restart option, but I suspect it woud stay stuck forever unless kicked.
I'm seeing the same thing, and don't want to kill all the data files, as I have a lot of saved music, playlists, etc.. Do those remain if you use, say, appzapper, or whatever? or is that not even helping anyhow.
My desktop Mac (Yosemite) and laptop (Mavericks) both experienced the issue simultaneously, and I was able to resolve it from the keyboard, by clicking the Preferences tab in the Spotify app, then "view account", which opens a browser window on the Spotify site. At the bottom of the account overview page is a "sign out everywhere" button. Click it, and sign into Spotify again from the computer you wish to use.
I agree that it's something wrong on Spotify's end; their engine probably has trouble tracking users' radio stations across multiple platforms, perhaps when they're being used simultaneously. I was able to break and fix the issue a couple of times for testing.
UPDATE: Further testing is needed; now I have intermittent radio functionality. I'm still convinced it's a server-side problem. For the record, I tried to remove this post when I started having problems again, but this message board doesn't let me delete my own post...? Am I missing something?
I am having this issue now.
It started last night.
I wiped out and redownloaded the app, restarted my computer, I wiped out the AppData files etc.
I still can't get it to play the radio.
I am on Win7
I have the same issue on linux (debian 3.16.0.4). It started today (24 August 2015) . Browse, Radio, Activity never finish loading... For some reasons it works with "Your music" section.
App finder displays the data, but reloads it in 2 seconds...
