Spotify for Desktop - Release Notes (1.0.9)

Solved!

Spotify for Desktop - Release Notes (1.0.9)

What's new in this version (1.0.9)

  • Say hello to our new colour. Nice, isn't it?
  • Store your music where you want. Head over to Settings to pick your cache location.
  • New on touch screens: adjust volume or jump to a different part of a song by dragging your finger.
  • The Friend Feed always refreshes, so you're never out of the loop.
  • Small screen? The Friend Feed overlay gives the main view some extra room.

Can we please get the back the ability to drag local files into playlists, this being removed has been a massive step back.  I KNOW you can import local files still, but dragging them from specific locations would make things so much easier when a majority of your playlists consist of local files.

Hi, i just tested the new spotify and i get some cracling from my rear speakers at fixed places in songs. i use a 5.1 surround system with an optical cable. I tried listening to other songs on my pc (not using spotify) and no crackling appeared. I changed the input to be 4.1 surround and i haven't experienced any crackling since.

Can an option for the Friends Feed to not minimize (i.e. be reduced to icons only) when I make the Spotify window smaller be made? I like being able to have my Spotify window smaller while still being able to see which songs my friends are listening to without rolling over the Feed. Thanks!

On my PC spotify updated itself by placing all of it's contents in C:\Users directory.

I had to manually copy them into \appdata\local\spotify and overwrite the old stuff. Dissapointed.

Seriously... This new colour... It hurts my eyes, it hurts so bad that ive made an account in this forum to complain about it -_-

There must be someone sane working in Spotify that can make the app logo in a way that doesn´t make the users eyes bleed.

it isn't working for me, when i change the caché location to "D:" (it's my mechanical disk, "C:" it's a SSD) it ask me to reset the aplication, i do that and the location returns to "C:" ¿anyone else having this problem?

I want the live add song playlist count back.

Thank you, Spotify, for changing the color to puke neon green and giving me a headache. It's just what I wanted.

For the next update I'd like to see the entire UI flipped upside-down.

It's the same color they changed the mobile app to as well a little while ago.

Really don't like the new green color. Oversaturated green is probably one of the worst colors.

They could make the colour luminous pink with the font in comic sans. Just as long as the actual functionality worked, it wouldn't bother me.

wow, that new color is horrible

Go Back to the old color, PLS.

Nobody likes the new one.

PLS.

I really dont like the new color.

IF something does need to be coloured it's the scroll bar on the right hand side as it's just about the same shade of black as the surrounding area which as its also pretty small makes it  nigh on impossible to find & (worse on a large playlist obviously) most of the time end up using the keyboard - I don't have a problem finding the the scroll bar on any other program and can't ever remember having this issue in over 30 years years of Windows & hundreds of programs + - Anyone else have this issue?

Colour is fugly, change it back!

Not a fan of the new color either. And with this new version it has started acting up, tracks stop for me after few seconds, or skip to the next one that is also cut after few seconds... Some just play silence and I also can't scroll throught the tracks. It is possible to downgrade?

I knew that new green color will come up pretty soon cause they've changed it on website as well. It's kinda weird one - it's good cause there's few main apps/websites that use this one. It's bad too cause it's not common one and they've went from gradient warm greenish through flat greenish and now flat oversaturated one.

Well, now (after a lot of months) we have back the option for select the cache folder.

This is good.

The icon colour is horrible...

But the worst is that now Spotify do not play song!

I dont know why!

I have alse reinstalled the application but still do not play any sound execpy first half second of the song. And not ever.

I hope you on spotify consider to review your coder staff because seems to do everything for make spotify software the worst in the world.

(please excuse my english...)

Well.. is confirmed (at least for me).

Switching back to version 1.0.4.90.g0b6df40b all works fine.

Installing again 1.0.9.133 the music is not played.

I think is better to deactivate my premium account and search an alternative.

Bad.

Very bad.

Can't even open spotify after the latest update
