Hello,
Spotify won't load the social activity bar, friends profiles or artist pages (remain blank, with a find people tab on the SB). It's working other than that. Happened after I installed the update this morning. Tried loading a previous version, that will open artist pages, but not the social bar (and it updates itself pretty sharpish).
I'm a premium user on a mac running OS X 10.7.5
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Toby
Solved! Go to Solution.
Just adding to the din - Activity Feed stopped working a day or two ago. It has happened before but usually comes back within a day or with a re-start. No luck so far in a couple of days.
I am having this issue too! It started yesterday. I have done a clean install already and it is not fixed. I even had a friend listen to things for a while to make sure it wasn't just inactivity.
Spotify, please fix this!
Same issue - Activity Feed not updating any more (since about a few weeks not - and not the first time - while it worked somedays before the last update)
OS: Windows 7 Professional x64
Spotify: Version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Its hard for me to get, why a service that collects such a high amount of paying members is not able to fix such obvios issues in their client.
Maybe, if the dev's not able to review their code and fix the error, they could help the community by placing a "DOWNGRADE" - Button onto their Menu? Just kiddng - FIX IT, YOU GET PAID FOR IT
My social bar hasn't worked for ages. Latest upgrade was 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Seriously? Not sure why i have to scour a community page to find a fix?? I'm PAYING for this???
S
It would be much appreciated if Spotify would issue a definitive statement on the progrees being made to address this issue. It's been an intermittent problem in my experience but no less irritating for all that. Thanks!
It works, it's broken, it works, it's broken, it works, and it's broken again and again and again...
I really can't believe this issue has'nt been fixed yet. So many months, so much time to find the issues.
I'm losing faith in you Spotify! Just make a STATEMENT, say something. Communicate, tell us what's going on, what the problems are, what you're doing to deal with this. COMMUNICATE WITH US!!!
Win7, 2 Premium Accounts, tried EVERYTHING to get it to work. Tested on multiple systems etc. etc. etc..
And again back to nothing!!! This drives me crazy. Thanks Spotify ............
Ridiculous..
activity feed not updating again
win xp
version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
After an automatic and unavoidable upgrade to yet another new version (0.9.1.57.ge7405149) on 2 machines (XP and 7) this is STILL not updating. Could we please have an update from Spotify here. Not sure what this blog serves for if it's just being ignored and questions, problems and complaints not being acknowledged, never mind addressed and fixed.
Thank you.
Yeah, still getting this problem too.
Could everyone let @spotifycares and support@spotify.com know this is still a problem?
Doesn't seem like it's going to get fixed unless people start complaining. And it doesn't really seem like the forum is working as a place to do it.
I have emailed support, will see what they say!
Feed is only updating once after i delete the sp_feed_0.localstorage file in AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Users\myname-user\LocalStorage\Local Storage.
Spotify 0.8.5.1356. Having this problem since 7 days.
Great - looking like the social bar's been fixed! 🙂
This needs to be fixed ASAP. The feature is important to me as I generate playlists for Miriam's Kitchen - a service for the homeless in DC. The music from Spotify is piped into the kitchen and is an important component to keeping the volunteer cook's engaged and working on the food prep for around 300 homelass guests a day. I like to be able to monitor what is playing on a daily basis. The problem seems to be getting worse. Please fix it!
Thanks!
I've now had this problem for ages too - The activity feed displaying what my friends have been listening to has just not updated for ages.
Over the last few days I've been emailing spotify support for help and they've given me a load of different answers and potential solutions but not a single one has worked.
Very important feature for me too so really need this resolved, especially considering I'm paying monthly for premium.
this is not working since april and I've tried everything. All other features are working just fine. I wonder if this is a common problem even for those who pay for a premium account. That would piss me off 🙂
" I wonder if this is a common problem even for those who pay for a premium account."
Yes it is :-[
I'm using Spotify Premium for a few months now and most of the time the activity feed isn't working for me. Sometimes when i log out and in again it works for some minutes, but then it stops again. Plus I'm not getting any notifications about new followers, new Albums etc.
It's really annoying!
This is definitely the last time i paid for this service if it's still not working properly.
IS ANYONE FROM spotify READING THIS BLOG??!!
If not, could someone help me illicit a response from them by some other means.
Thank you.
