Just had a suggestion if there are any developers that read these. Love Spotify's interface as a whole, but I think it would be great to include a song/album's release date (not just year) on the Desktop version, like you guys have on the mobile app.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hey @music25_
If you hover over the release date in the desktop app or the web player for several seconds, the full release date will show in a popup tooltip. They should just show the full release date by default in my opinion though.
Good news!
In the new desktop app version 1.1.86 and the Web Player, you can now see the full release date (month, day, year) at the bottom of the release page just like you can in the mobile app. You can still hover over the year at the top of the release page as well to see the full release date.

The microsoft store version doesn't seem to be updated yet (or it wont update mine for some reason), but I think the hover info takes way too long. On my device it takes like 2 seconds (whereas firefox takes <800ms for a image hover). It was also quite unintuitive.
But yeah shouldn't matter now that you can see it under the album
Spotify desktop updates can take some time to roll out to everyone and to the Microsoft Store as well so hopefully you'll see it soon.
