My Question or Issue

I'm having an issue where I've got two versions of Spotify showing up on my dock, see screenshot attached. I can close the "Spotify (old)" and it will temporarily solve the issue, but as soon as I restart or wake up my mac, it'll be back there again. Any ideas team?

Check in your "Applications" folder to see if there are two versions of Spotify. If so (and the old version is open), hold the option key and right click on the old version and press "Force Quit." Then under the "Applications" folder, single click the old version, hold command, and press delete, it should get rid of the old version!

thank you! this helped a lot

If you're here later like me just install the latest from Spotify and delete the (old)
