Ability to Turn Off Videos In Now Playing Window on Desktop

The Now Playing window on the right of the desktop interface often has a looping music video clip for songs.
It is distracting and isn't the full video in time with the music.
There should be the ability to disable it, particularly for those who work with Spotify open.

Hey @ogilbey,

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
I believe what you're seeing on your device might actually be the Canvas feature! Try disabling it by first clicking on your profile picture and going to Settings. Once there, use the search bar on the right to look for Canvas or look for the setting under 'Display Settings' to switch it off. If all goes well the clips should disappear for you! 🙂

Hope this helps! We're here for you if there's anything else 🙌🏼

Hi,
I cannot find the Canvas feature in order to disable it.  I can't even find the search bar!  The video clips are incredibly irritating as often there are performances from TV shows with the presenters introducing the bands.  Help!

Hey @GiddyRarnChilde,

Thanks for joining!

You may need to update the app if you've not recently done so to make sure you're on the newest version. Check out this help article for the steps on different devices.

As mentioned, the Canvas feature should be within Spotify's settings under Content and display on the mobile app and under Display on the desktop app and Web Player.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you very much for your help!  I uninstalled then re-installed directly from Spotify and my problems are solved! Thanks!
