Hello  @upthedale and welcome to the community

What version of Spotify desktop are you using ?    ( . . . > Help >  About Spotify )

I am on version 1.0.88.353 / Here is what you should see :

1 - Right click on a song title

2 - Click Add to Queue (depending your computer and your connection, it can be a little delay before the pop-up closes by itself)

3 - Open the Queue / You normally can see your song in position Next in Queue

If it doesn't work like this, try a clean reinstallation of the desktop :

Good luck and let me know if it's working now.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I just did a fresh install. Problem still there.
If I am listening on my computer then add to queue works.
If I am listening via Spotify connect to Sonos then add to queue doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Did you take those screenshots while Connected to another device, if so what was it? Those screenshots are clipped so they don't show whether you were playing locally or what if anything you were connected to.

I, and a lot of other people, are hitting the same problem where add to queue works playing locally on the pc, but simply does not work when connected to an external device.

@greatapest @upthedale

These screenshots have been taken on my laptop where Spotify is installed, while listening on a Denon AVR through connect.

So it seems to be an issue specific to Sonos and the wireless settings.

I will check for more infos Sonos related.

It's not just the Sonos, see this thread Add to queue not working on desktop, it's also happening on Google Home & Chromecast Audio.

2021 desktop spotify user here. The queue feature fails to work on mine. Although it's a fresh install on a newly re-installed copy of windows 10, it never worked.

The people who designed spotify just don't test their products, or care, I guess.

"Does it work? No, oh well, we're spotify. We don't care." -Spotify UX design team.

Boy would I love to get paid to not do my job too.

Hey there @fromatron

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community, and welcome!

Would you mind letting us know exactly what happens when you try to add something to the queue? Is the app staying unresponsive, crashing or simply does nothing?

Also, could you let us know if you have this issue when logged into your account from a different device?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
