My Question or Issue

After disconnect an second monitor, when spotify was open on the screen that was removed, the buttons for minimize, max and close are overlapped by three buttons like windows 1997 style. And they dont work.

After I clicked on add friends activity, they back to work.

But if I only restart the app, dont work.

Hey @larissaguder,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

This behavior sounds strange, but it might be connected with a glitch from your display drivers or because of that you've disconnected the monitor while using the app displayed on it. In any case we're not sure what really happens on your end, so it would be useful, if you could include screenshots or even better - a short video of the situation, so we can give you a better advice. You can send a link to it or attach it using the Insert Video option in the post editor.

Also share with us what troubleshooting you've done so far and the following details, which will be helpful for us to replicate the situation:

  1. the platform and full OS version of your desktop device
  2. the current Spotify version installed on the device where this occurs

Keep us posted, we'll be on the lookout for your reply.

I'm realy sorry by the delay.

But, I found that is not only in that case that problem occours.

Now, I can't establish a pattern for this.

But if I click in sections like friends activity or search, the problem desapear.

I dont check all sections, but if I navigate beetwen playlists for example, the problem remains.

Hi @larissaguder,

Thank you for your reply 🙂

Can you provide us the following so that we can have a closer look into this:

  • a video of the issue and also when you make the issue disappear
  • the platform and full OS version of your desktop device
  • the current Spotify version installed on the device where this occurs

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

There  is.

I promise I'll try to get better evidence, but I had to cut the video because it had sensitive content in bkg, sorry for that.

Hey @larissaguder,

Thank you for your message and for the info you’ve shared with us.

To keep investigating the case, we’ll need more info. In your next response, please include the screen resolution you’re currently running in your monitor.

Also, if you are using the desktop app installed from the Spotify webpage, give it a try to the version of the Microsoft Store and let us know if the issue persists.

We’ll be on the lookout for your next response.

I'm  using 1920 x 1080, the scale is at 100%.

and the app isnt from the microsoft store.

Hey @larissaguder,

Thank you for your message with the requested information.

In this case, we'd recommend installing the Spotify version from the Microsoft Store here. Let us know if the issue happens in both versions or just in one.

We'll be waiting for your response.
