Album Cover Resolution

Album Cover Resolution

Hey everyone, the desktop app (windows 10) is recently acting weird. The album cover at the bottom left is low quality and I don't know why.

Hey there @Ege-S

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!

Would you mind sending over a screenshot where we can take a better look at what you're seeing from your end? You can attach it using the Insert Photos option in the post editor.

It would also be helpful to know when this started to happen and if it's happening in the web player too. We'll see what we can suggest.

Keep us posted!

It's only like this in the app. Web browser is just fine. I've attached a screenshot.

Hi @Ege-S,

Thank you for your reply and sending this info.

We're aware of this happening on the desktop app. However, take into consideration that images used as album art in Spotify require 640x640px minimum, so some images with low quality may appear blurred to screens with higher resolutions.

In any case, we appreciate you taking the time to send this report. We also invite you to share it in this thread where the new desktop design is being discussed. We regularly monitor it and pass on your thoughts to the relevant team.

In the meantime, as a workaround you can zoom in/out the app ( Ctrl + / Ctrl - ) and find a balance that gives you a sharper image quality.
