My Question or Issue

A picture preview of the album cover used to be featured in the lower left of the Spotify desktop app where the song and artist names are listed.  I currently have version 1.0.82.447.g975ad224, and the picture is no longer included.  I really liked seeing that, and want it back.  Is it a setting I have to turn on, or has Spotify gotten rid of it entirely?  I would really like to have this feature back.

Seems spotify broke something again for the sake of god knows what...

effin great guys, years they've been breaking useful basic things (ctrl+f, starred playlists) and seem to not care at all.

Hey, I had this same thing happen with the same version. I got it working again. Here's what I did:

1. Uninstall Spotify
2. Clear the cache at C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Spotify
   1. I had to stop the spotify web helper service to delete all the files here
3. Restart the computer
4. Download and install Spotify again

Interestingly, Spotify is still the same version but the bug is not present.

Personnally i don't have to restart my computer. Just reinstall spotify and it is fix.

I clicked the hide button (^) next to the album picture by accident but it seems that someone forgot to keep it there after the picture disappears. There's no way to bring it back, so I guess it's true... we need to reinstall the program again.

I've just got this update and can confirm. I've also noticed that the left sidebar is bugged out. If you hover over (for example) a discover weekly the sidebar gllitches out (see video)

GOOD NEWS:

It's even buggier than we thought. If you manually resize the left sidebar, the album art reappears, and the bug I shown in the video no longer appears.

LOL it's my job to develop software and I would never in a million years release software this buggy
