My Question or Issue

Upon starting Spotify I get the following message:

---------------------------
Spotify.exe - Entry Point Not Found
---------------------------
The procedure entry point PqthFindExtensionW could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\System32\COMDLG32.dll.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I believe this is either a bug in Spotify or the shlwapi.dll on my machine (although I can't see how that could've happened to me alone) and that the correct function name is PathFindExtensionW.

Hey, thanks for reaching out.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the appreinstall. Just follow the steps here.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what we can suggest!
