Well, I am unable to install this crappy app from Windows 7.
When I go to the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and try to uninstall I get "Spotify has stopped working" crash, no ability to uninstall (see attached image). Btw, the program is running just fine, it just crashes when uninstall is attempted, thus I can't uninstall this **bleep**!
I have tried to download and reinstall - still the same issue.
Any ideas how I can get trid of this "app"?

Well, after some digging through the registry I fonud a solution that works; posting for anyone in the future that may be stuck dealing with this j u n k:
Open cmd with admin priviledges (right click on it and select run as administrator) and run the following command (substitute "USERNAME" with your actual user name):
c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Spotify.exe /uninstall

Same problem here, but in cmd I get a "The system can not find the path specified" Error
My bad, wrote it wrong.
Still "Spotify has stopped working" pops up after following your instructions
Yeah, not the best app...
Maybe you can try downloading a fresh copy and reinstallig, then running the command again?
Thanx!!, worked as you post it.
Thaaanks u saved my day
Only thing that worked
(c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Spotify.exe /uninstall)
I see the same problem. It saysing 'Spotify stopped working' whether I try to unstall from control panel or from cmd.exe
i tried your method, nothing!! same error message 😧
Worked like a charm. Thank you!
Doesn't work for me.
Same problem for me too. I managed to solve it by deleting all the files in the Spotify folder though. Only one file could not be deleted, the spotifywebhelper. I found it in the task manager, and closed it there. Then i could delete that one also.
Try this: open the app. Click on the three dots in the top left corner. Click EXIT. Then try uninstalling again.
Thanks my dude! Bumping because this POS has no unistall option and is just an absolute garbage app. Only reason I downloaded was to integrate with my live streams. Not even worth doing that much with it. Hahaha
