Cannot change my profile picture

I would like to change my profile picture but I only see Avatars. Is there a way that I can upload a profile picture from my computer?

In order to upload an avatar here in the community, you need to have a certain rank. 😕

The only way to add a picture to your Spotify account is by linking your facebook to it, and it will take your profile picture.

If you would like the option to upload a picture directly to Spotify, please kudo this idea so it may be implemented in future versions of the app:

That is how the thread started. You are right. Then, after that solution
was found, the rest of the posts are about not being able to post a picture
to our Spotify account. Some people said they did it even without a FB
account but no one can find that feature. That's probably why some people
are able to do it and some aren't--we are having two different
conversations.

Evidently, it's only allowed when a plain-looking woman from the Netherlands hacks into your site and posts a photo of her mediocre-looking face without your consent.  Security clearly isn't a concern of Spotify's.  #ProfitsOverPeople

Are you talking about the Spotify app or for the community forum here?

For Spotify:

It is not possible to change your Spotify profile picture without a Facebook account. To change your Spotify picture you will need to connect your Facebook account to your Spotify account in the settings. The picture you have on Facebook will show on Spotify.

Also, usernames cannot be changed. If you would like a different username, you will need to make a new account.

10/10 bad decision. Features on platforms should not be dependent on users having accounts on completely separate platforms. I don't have facebook, nor do I want it.
